Matsukawa River cruise are scheduled to operate from March 20 to May 31, 2025, as large-scale restoration work on the revetment of the Matsukawa River, damaged by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, is set to begin after June 1. Running through the center of Toyama City, this river is lined with around 500 cherry trees, stretching 2.5 kilometers. Travelling through the picturesque tunnel of cherry blossoms by boat is an experience like no other. Selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom spots in Japan, there is also a promenade beneath the cherry trees where you can enjoy a lovely walk during the day or night, when the area is illuminated.
